Special Shape Hot Air Balloon

“TINY” the Fire Dog is touring the United States to promote Public Safety. The balloon is designed and owned by Henry Rosenbaum, the Fire Marshal for Henrico County Division of Fire. Henry has 43 years in emergency medicine, fire service and law enforcement fields. Henry also has 35 years experience flying hot air balloons. Henry's passion for public safety and flying are brought together in this journey.

TINY

"TINY" is a tribute to RC “Tiny” Dawson, a retired Deputy Fire Chief with Henrico Fire. Chief Dawson spent more than 30 years with the Henrico Fire, going from Cadet to Deputy Fire Chief. Chief Dawson was the founding member of the first HAZMAT team in Virginia. After retirement he continued to serve the community as the “Chief of Guest Services“ at the Richmond International Raceway.

Never Forget

The collar represents the emergency personnel that are no longer with us. The thin BLUE line represents our Law Enforcement Officers, the thin RED line represents our Firefighters/EMS personnel, and the thin YELLOW line represents our Communications Officers.

N343R

The aircraft registration number is N343R, to "R"emember the 343 fallen firefighters in New York, on 9-11-2001. Not to out shadow the 71 Law Enforcement officers who died at the World Trade Centers. And the 55 Military personnel who died at the Pentagon. All are part of the 2977 total victims.

MOVE OVER

Beginning September 11, 2023 TINY will be flying a special message to remind all drivers when you see flighing lights, vests or reflectors to please slow down and MOVE OVER.

AirFly Balloons worked many hours on the design and construction of TINY. Luis and the staff at AirFly are the best at producing special shape balloons and cold air balloons.

When TINY is not flying, TINY's cold air can be seen at both outdoors and indoors Events. This is an exact replica of the hot air balloon.

TINY cold air is available for private events and birthday parties.
